Two-and-a-half...yikes!

Our boy is two-and-a-half...yikes! It seems like we were just cranking out a truck birthday cake, and celebrating his second birthday. I am so proud of Joshua, and the ways in which he is growing. He is smart, curious, funny, Type-A, (mostly) loving with his sister, social, and your typical two-year-old who is testing the waters of discipline. His hugs are contagious, his singing melts my heart, and his lively spirit makes every day a new adventure. Happy two-and-a-half birthday, Son!

We celebrated the day by going to Rebel Donut. I let him pick out any donut that he wanted, and he chose the "Birthday Cake" donut (how appropriate!) - a white cake donut covered in sprinkles. He eats his donuts in a very orderly fashion: first the goods (frosting and sprinkles), and then the cake. And, like a true gentleman, he shared his donut with Sissy. Joshua also picked out a donut for Daddy, and we drove it over to him at work, so that he could celebrate too!

After the sugar-high, we went to the park. It is SOOO nice outside right now. Dear Spring...can you stay awhile?! Joshua went on a scavenger hunt and collected various items, while Makayla ate grass and tried to indulge in Mama's coffee. All in all, just another perfect day at the office ; )

  2. What a great day! We've been stuck inside and at home with sick kids for the entire week - I could use a nice warm day at the park (we have snow coming tonight or tomorrow). Glad you had such a nice time.

    1. Jenn, I think we are supposed to get that storm this weekend. We always get Flag's weather a couple days later. These sunny days are such a tease! Praying for your sick household!
