Playing and Cooing

Makayla is really interacting with her activity mat these days. She likes to grab the different things that are hanging above, and play with them. Here is some video of her playing with the elephant. Joshua couldn't stand not to be in the video, so he also makes a cameo at the very end.

Baller in the Making

My mom's employer, and my former employer, Aon, is the sponsor for Manchester United. Joshua got hooked up with a personalized jersey of his own. He's a baller in the making!

Best Job Ever

I have the greatest job. I love that part of my job description is to go on walks, in beautiful weather, with two super cool sidekicks!

I've been using our stops at the park as an opportunity to do a few exercises. Joshua saw me doing push-ups and decided to give it a try. That's my boy ; )

Pagosa

This past weekend, we went to Pagosa Springs, CO with my parents. It was a short trip, but a nice opportunity to get away for a few days.

In another month, we get to go on vacation again. We are going to Flagstaff, and it will be twice the fun because both sets of grandparents will be accompanying us on the trip. Yeah, we are "that couple" who has been blessed with parents that get along with each other and have fun together!

Three Months Old!

Makayla turned three months old yesterday, which means she is officially an infant! She loves to smile, coo, and kick...and melt daddy's heart : )

Boxes and Waves

Joshua had us cracking up last night. He pushed his stockpile of toys back and forth for a good twenty minutes straight. He would stop every so often and give a wave, probably to make sure he still had our undivided attention. It was definitely a good way to tire him out before bedtime.

Today, I asked Joshua if he wanted to go for a walk. He grabbed my keys and waited for me at the door. He catches on so quick!

Park Love

It's been fun to take Joshua to the park and let him run around a bit. He loves the new freedom of walking! Makayla utilizes it as another opportunity to sleep.

Refreshed

Makayla slept nine hours straight last night, and Mama enjoyed every minute of it!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We had a wonderful day of celebrating Christ's victory over death with friends and family today. This morning, our new church had its very first Easter service! We are currently meeting at a funeral home while our main place undergoes a makeover. Talk about an interesting place to talk about Christ raising from the dead! This afternoon, we joined my family for an Easter dinner and egg hunt. Joshua quickly understood the concept of hunting for eggs. Once he found one, he would give it a little shake. He had a blast putting them in the basket, and then taking them out...over, and over again. As for Makayla, she looked so cute in her Easter dress!

While Joshua still prefers crawling as his primary mode of transportation, he is walking around a lot more these days...

Laundry Helper

Joshua likes to help me load, and unload, the laundry. Now, if only I could teach him how to fold the laundry...
