My baby is one more month away from her first birthday...let the sadness settle in. I'm sure I said this with the other kids, but it really hasn't hit me that her first year is almost complete. With three kids, it seems like there is always something to do, so I feel like the last year has been somewhat of a blur. She is getting so big, she cruises around the furniture at lightening speed, she will occasionally lift her hands up and stand for a little bit at a time, and she's constantly imitating Michael Jordan with the tongue out. She loves to observe J and M, and is quick to jump into the mix whether it be wrestling or playing Legos. You can't help but smile when you're around her! These pictures capture her personality perfectly...

Snowman #2
A few weeks ago, we got more snow...and by more snow, I mean the most snow we have had since Andrew and I got married! Fortunately, the snow came over the weekend, so Andrew got to enjoy it with the kids. They built another snowman, engaged in a snowball fight, and we made snow ice cream with sprinkles. The snow was nice, but I like the blue skies and sunshine we are now enjoying even more!

These two...
These two are becoming quite the team. Yes, Joshua still makes Makayla scream at least five times in one day. Yes, Makayla knows exactly the right buttons to push to drive her brother crazy. BUT...they are really starting to create a very special bond, and it's so fun to watch!
10 months old
This little lady turned 10 months old a few days ago. She is cruising the furniture with ease, pushing off and trying to stand for a few seconds, loving table food, babbling like crazy, and really starting to show off her personality. She has started to remind me more of Joshua, although I still see some of Makayla too.

Makayla Turns Three!
Makayla turned three this past weekend! It was a great weekend full of fun, family, and all things dress-up! On the day before her birthday, we invited a few friends to a local trampoline park for some birthday jumping fun. The kids had a blast, as did the grown-ups ; ) On her birthday, we had family come over for dinner, cake, and presents. She asked for a Minnie-themed birthday (again), and it was combined with a dress-up theme. Andrew and I turned an old entertainment center into a dress-up unit for Makayla where she could keep her dresses, shoes, jewelry, etc. She was so excited, and has managed to fill the unit up very quickly with all of the accessories she received.
We are so proud of our blonde-hair, blue-eyed princess. She definitely keeps us on our toes, and is currently taking on the role of the mischievous middle child. She has a way of doing something she knows she's not supposed to, and then flashing her sweet smile in an effort to make your heart melt. She is full of energy, a monkey acrobat, an artist who loves to color, draw, and decorate, a bit of a hoarder, a singer, and entertainer to her little sis. She has a love/hate relationship with her older bro, but I know he will always be the first one to stand up for her. She is growing like a weed, her vocabulary continues to expand, and she can't wait to go to school like J. She is my shopping side-kick, and my fellow Starbucks "coffee" lover. She truly lives up to her middle name (Joy!). We love you, Makayla!

Fun in the snow
We have had quite a bit of snow in the past 24 hours. After hearing, "Do you want to build a snowman," for the hundredth time, I took the kids outside to play. The kids had so much fun, and we all pitched in and made a snowman. The kids named him Chilly, after the snowman on Doc McStuffins. Poor Chilly only lasted two hours before he toppled over. After the cold snow, we all headed inside for "coffee"...AKA: hot chocolate : )

Leah - Nine Months
Leah turned nine months yesterday! Our little girl has no fear, and is doing new things with each new day. As you saw in the Christmas post, she is now pulling up on the furniture to a standing position, and is even starting to cruise along the furniture. She refuses to be left behind when it comes to playing with J and M. She also just got her two upper teeth, which makes for four total. She's wearing 12-18 month clothes, and we'll get a better idea of her size at next week's well-visit. And, to repeat myself in all previous posts, she is always so happy. Happy nine-months, little one!
