Color Run

If the Color Run 5K is coming to a city near you...sign up and DO IT!!! It's a race in which you get sprayed with color at every kilometer. It was so much fun, and I can't recommend it enough. I can't wait until it comes through Albuquerque in 2013. I think it would be a blast to do with the kiddos next year.

A Happy Meal Kind of Day

Sometime's it's a Happy Meal kind of day...

Crying Indian

Here's our little crying Indian (is it politically correct to say that?).

Screeches

Makayla has mastered the bloodcurdling, high-pitch scream. Needless to say, Andrew and I are not fans...especially when Joshua feels the need to duplicate the scream.

Play-doh

Joshua and I made play-doh, and it's his new favorite activity. He melts my heart when he says, "Pay-do, peas (aka: Play-doh, please)." I'm excited to make more colors now that I know he enjoys playing with it. I admit, I probably have just as much fun as he does when we pull it out!

As you can see, we are currently working on using a normal cup, hence the wet shirt : )

Great-Grandpa's Trucks

Grandpa Grundstrom is quite the craftsman, and now Joshua is getting to enjoy some of the fruits of his labor. Grandpa made some really nice wooden cars, trucks, and tractors that Andrew brought with him when he first moved to Albuquerque. Joshua recently pointed to them and happily said, "Tractors, Tractors!" He's finally able to thoughtfully play with them (aka: not destroy them), so we are letting him play with them on the carpet. He loves his great-grandpa's trucks, and wants to play with them every chance he gets!

Joshua finally showed some love to his sister for a picture, and Makayla wasn't looking. Baby steps, I guess...
A very rare sharing moment ; ) The other 30 minutes mostly consisted of Joshua swatting Makayla's hand away.
