Garbage Truck Excitment

I've mentioned it before, but Friday is Joshua's favorite day of the week. Not a Friday goes by without him waking up in excitement because the garbage trucks are making the rounds. He literally has a panic attack if he thinks he has missed seeing them pass by the house. I finally got a good video of him running out the door to see his beloved truck. And, the driver never disappoints as he always gives Joshua a good honk before driving on...

Dinosaur Fun

Things have been crazy (with a capital "C") around here! Between selling our house, and trying to find a new one to live in, it seems like we've been going non-stop. Today, we caught a breather and I took the kiddos to the Natural History Museum with our friends, the Guerras. The boys had a blast looking at the dinosaurs and making dinosaur sounds at each other. Makayla also had a great time, and said, "Ooooohhhhh..." every time we turned the corner to a new exhibit. All in all, it was a great way to slow down for a bit, and it definitely tired the kids out for a good nap!

Look at that sign; isn't she a beauty?! We went into contract on Monday, and close mid-July. So, now the craziness just amplified as we search out a new home for our family. Please keep us in your prayers!

National Doughnut Day!

Today is National Doughnut Day, so we took advantage of it by getting free donuts at Krispy Kreme! The kids enjoyed their chocolate-sprinkled goods, and then watched the donut-making machines for awhile. Joshua manned the doughnut line like a boss! Yay for free, and yummy, entertainment!

Fire Chief JAG

This past weekend, my parent's town hosted an appreciation event for the residents. Firetrucks, cool cars, and free food...doesn't that have Joshua's name written all over it?!?!?!

Great-Grandpa Rahe and Joshua are truck and tractor buddies. Joshua affectionately calls him, "Tractor Grandpa".

Okay, seriously, is this not the cutest thing!

Enjoying the fun with Aunt Megan, who is adored by Joshua. When he woke up from his nap, and she was gone, he was so sad he started crying. Again, is that not the cutest thing?!

Memorial Weekend in Flag

We headed to Flagstaff for Memorial Weekend. The weather was beautiful, the surroundings were peaceful, and the awesome company capped off a great time! It was a much-needed break for our fam as we continue to navigate the house-selling world. Some of the fun things we did included: lots and lots of train watching, an arts and crafts festival at the downtown park, golf, disc golf, swimming, walks, and good food! As you can see, I think swimming was the highlight of the trip for the kids...
